New Digital Diplomacy Program with Pakistan Supports U.S. Foreign Policy

The Washington, DC-based nonprofit Global Ties U.S., in partnership with the U.S. Consulate General in Lahore Pakistan, is pleased to announce the Digital Content Creator Exchange Program, a new professional exchange that will strengthen democratic discourse and expand understanding of U.S. culture and values by Pakistani youth. The year-long program, implemented in collaboration with the nationwide Global Ties Network, will begin in 2025.

“People-to-people exchange programs are force multipliers,” said Global Ties U.S. President and CEO Katherine A. Brown, Ph.D. “Through exchange, we foster mutual understanding, expand global perspectives, and bring people together in ways that make local communities stronger and more connected. Global Ties U.S. is excited to implement this program in support of the U.S. Consulate General Lahore’s youth outreach efforts and more broadly in support of U.S. foreign policy priorities.”

The Digital Content Creator Exchange Program consists of three primary elements:

  • A two-week study tour in the United States for 10 digital content creators from Punjab Province
  • A Digital Content Creator Bootcamp to engage an additional cohort of Pakistani digital content creators
  • Follow-on projects for the participants to work together to create content that spreads awareness of U.S. culture and values

Global Ties U.S. is implementing the program with the support of two Community-Based Members, WorldChicago and San Diego Diplomacy Council, and a Pakistani partner, Beyond the Classroom Education.

Participation in the program is open to youth from Punjab Province who are between the ages of 21-35. English fluency is required.

The application to apply will be available soon.
