Washington, DC — Global Ties U.S. seeks qualified and dedicated leaders with diverse backgrounds and experience to serve on its Board of Directors. Those chosen to serve on the board can expect a fast-paced and rewarding experience as they help to lead this dynamic and evolving organization.
Global Ties U.S. relies on our Board of Directors to drive strategy, assess effectiveness, and ensure adequate financial resources. Board terms are three years in length and require a commitment to ongoing committee work, fundraising, strategic planning, and financial contribution. Members can serve up to two three-year terms. During the next two years, we are seeking up to six new board members for the 2018 and 2019 terms that begin on March 1.
Specifically, candidates should be innovative and strategically-focused individuals that can help lead the dynamic and evolving organization. Based on a recent needs assessment conducted by the Governance Committee of the Board, Global Ties U.S. seeks nominees from diverse backgrounds and experiences with demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas, public diplomacy and foreign policy, advocacy and government relations, resource development, program development, and financial management.

The Global Ties U.S. Board will review submissions and contact selected candidates for further screening. Candidates selected for further screening must be prepared for at least one telephone interview with a Governance Committee member.
