Global Ties U.S. launched the ‘Faces of Exchange’ social media campaign in fall 2018. Modeled after the popular Humans of New York Instagram account, the campaign offers a 360 degree view of International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and other exchanges, from the hard work behind the scenes to the satisfaction and experiences provided by a successfully completed program.
We want to hear your story!
To participate, please submit a short paragraph sharing your story and a photo of you related to your experience on or with exchange programs. Specific guidelines are outlined below. Find out more about the campaign and submit your story here.
Submission Requirements and Guidelines:
- A narrative paragraph about your experience with exchange programs
- A photo of you representing your exchange experience
Narratives should be between 100-200 words and address one of the following prompts:
- Please describe your experience with international exchanges. Is there a moment or trip that stands out to you? How has working or participating in exchanges shaped or changed your worldview?
- Describe the most rewarding exchange experience you’ve had.
- Was there moment you knew you belonged in this field? What drives you to work in this field everyday?
- Where do you presume that the future of international education is heading? Where would you like to see international education in five to ten years?
Photos and stories will be posted on Global Ties U.S. social media platforms leading up to the 2019 National Meeting. Be sure to follow along with #FacesOfExchange on Global Ties U.S. social media. Please note that submissions may be edited for content and clarity. Please send any questions to the Global Ties U.S. communications team.
