What is Advocacy Day?
Every year, as part of our National Meeting week, Global Ties Network members come to Washington, DC to speak up for exchanges on Capitol Hill.
Our next Global Ties Network Advocacy Day will be on February 18, 2025.
How does it work?
All Global Ties Network Community-Based Member organizations attending the National Meeting are encouraged to participate in Advocacy Day by setting up your own meetings with your Members of Congress and using the materials and talking points you’ll receive from Global Ties U.S. to speak up for international exchange on Capitol Hill.
You can register for Advocacy Day when National Meeting registration opens, the week of November 18, 2024.
After that, you will receive a template to support your outreach to your congressional office, as well as updated advocacy materials, which will be available in January 2025.
To learn more about how to prepare for the day, see our Advocacy 101 section. To find factsheets and other materials, see Advocacy Resources.

“This was my first time to participate in Advocacy Day, and now that I have, I can’t wait to do it again. It felt really good to speak up for something I so strongly believe in.”
